About Tsukihana Rinko
Hello, and welcome. I'm Rinko Tsukihana. Together with my two daughters, I've traveled to more than 20 countries — from Europe to Southeast Asia, to island resorts, and across Japan.
It began when we moved our family abroad with our children's education in mind. Since then, I've come to see travel not as a special event, but as an extension of everyday life. How to survive a long flight, jet lag, meltdowns, strollers, meals in a new country — the honest, on-the-ground side of traveling with kids was exactly what I always wished someone would tell me.
The themes I know best are traveling through Italy and Europe with kids, relocating to Malaysia for our children's education, family resorts in Asia and the islands (Bali, the Maldives, Guam), domestic trips across Japan, and trip preparation such as flights, eSIMs, and packing.
Every article on this site is based on first-hand visits I made in person, and every photo is one I took myself. I never write about a place as if I'd been there when I haven't. I share the wins and the missteps alike, as honestly as I can — hoping it takes a little weight off the shoulders of anyone traveling with small children.
You can also find my travel photos and updates on Pinterest.
